The On-line Receiver is a WinRadio G313i. The receiver is connected to a ALA 1530 magnetic loop manufactured by Wellbrook Communications. The receiver and its associated server is located in Gosport, Hampshire on the south coast of the UK.

The antenna is located about 180 metres from the sea at an elevation of 2 metres. The antenna is mounted on a rotator that will shortly be accessible to users through a web interface.

Digital Radio Mondial Reception
The receiver is fitted with the DRM Decoder/Demodulator Plug-in which allows users to decode the Digital Radio Mondiale signals currently being broadcast by the BBC World Service and other stations on the continent. A table of DRM stations broadcasting in the Medium and Long Wave bands is available here with links to downloadable audio files.
Software
Visitors interested in mediumwave DX-ing are invited to use this facility, using either a broadband or dial-up internet connection. You will need to install the WiNCLiENT software and request the server password and IP address to connect to the receiver. Please follow this link. You will be automatically logged out after 15 minutes connection time, please wait a few minutes before attempting to use the receiver again, in case another user is trying to access.
Only one person may access the receiver at any one time. If you cannot connect or receive an "unable to connect" message it means that another user is connected, please try again later.
Coverage
The receiver covers the frequency range of 9 kHz - 30 MHz and may be used "out of band". Please return the receiver to the Medium Wave band before you log out.
